Beautiful Are The Stars

Love, that is the question
What is the answer you ask?
Happiness…
To love and be loved
Forever, no matter what
A balance of everything…
Now that is hard to find
In your eyes, your heart,
Your soul, your mind…

You will find me there when you are crying
A shop looking for you, I might be buying
A funny smile when I bump into you
I wasn’t looking that hard
But that’s probably how it happens…
Out of nowhere a star falls from the sky
And it’s you

Black Pork Chopspoems for website 001

The weekend’s here and it’s off to my uncle’s we go
He’s firin’ up the grill but he doesn’t have it on low
My family’s all present and we’re waitin’ on some grub
Pork chops and wieners and dessert’s chocolate fudge
“Come fix ya a plate” my uncle says with a smile
We all grab some grub then we feed our faces for a while
We’re all starin’ at the black pork chops that he fixed
My uncle laughs and says, “ya better eat ‘em up,
Or ya won’t get seconds ya bunch a country hicks”

‘Tis A Pity To Take Life For Granted8 003

‘Tis a pity to take life for granted
And not heed words of wisdom chanted
If only one could realize the sorrow
If only one could ye be tomorrow
To be without one’s mother
To be without one’s father
To be without one’s brother
Have I been without the only other?
‘Tis I that has ignored words of wisdom chanted
‘Tis I that has taken my life for granted
